Education Classes

Starting September 9th, 2007

Sunday Mornings: 8:30 AM

"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind"

Thus says St Paul in Romans 12.

Plan to renew your mind and contribute to the increasing of our knowledge of God and God's ways by participating in an education class.

 2nd grade through 5th grade -

The Way of the Child, an introduction to Christian spirituality for children.

Middle School - Reviewing several curriculum for their choice, including Seasons of the Spirit, emerge, Claim the Life, and Connect.

High School - Reviewing several curriculum for their choice, including Claim the Life, emerge, and FaithLink.

Adult Class - Using short series of topic from The Thoughtful Christian.

In October, we will discuss the topic of discernment-how to be aware of God’s activity in the world and be in accord with it, and the topic of hospitality as defined in the Bible.

In November, we will look at the intersection of theology and life, discussing current issues from a theological perspective.

After that series, we will examine the great questions of theology.

 Sunday School Schedule

Our Sunday School classes meet every Sunday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Be sure to participate in a class! There are classes for all ages.

Learning about God and God’s ways is a way to nurture and develop our faith, it is a key component of  discipleship, and it is the means by which we renew and expand our minds so that our hearts may worship. You will be a better disciple of Christ by participating in a Sunday School class, and our Sunday School classes will be better with you!

Adult education classes

Each Sunday, two adult education classes are offered. One is a bible-focused class, which studies the book of the bible that is read in the worship service.  The other class offers a variety of topics that are intended to keep us living the Christian faith.

New Members Classes

Persons wishing to join St. Paul Presbyterian Church are invited to New Members Classes at various times throughout the year. There are two sessions to attend, the first session is to learn about St. Paul and the Presbyterian Church. The second session is to talk more in depth about the history and formation of the Presbyterian Church, what it means to be Presbyterian, and why be a Church member. New members are received during a Sunday worship service following these classes.
