Travis and Kristen Jürgens

Travis Jürgens, Director of Music Ministries
Travis grew up in West Virginia and knew that he wanted to become a conductor when he was 10 years old, when he joined the band as a saxophonist. He has a Bachelor's of Music in Piano Performance and a Master's of Music in Orchestral Conducting. Travis believes music is a gift from God, so he intends to use it to encourage the Body of Christ and reflect God's grace.

His previous church position was as Music Director/Organist at Grace United Methodist Church in Urbana, IL. Currently, he is the Music Director/Conductor of The Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City, and the Associate Conductor of the Lamont Symphony Orchestra and Opera Theatre. Travis also recently received 2nd place from The American Prize in Orchestral Conducting. In addition to his musical activities, he enjoys hiking, running, art, and technology.

Kristen Jürgens, Church Musician
Kristen grew up in Michigan, and has played the piano her entire life. She loves many styles and genres of music, and is a trained classical pianist. Worship music, however, has a special place in her heart. She feels strongly about her calling to uplift the Body of Christ through music, and hopes to show just a glimpse of God's incomprehensible love and creativity through song.

In addition to her position at St. Paul, Kristen continues work on her Master's Degree in piano performance, maintains an active accompanying business for opera singers and orchestral musicians, plays in a contemporary art music ensemble, and teaches music lessons. Besides practicing, listening to and playing music, Kristen loves hiking and running, playing board games and becoming a salsa connoisseur.

Gayle Fidler, Office and Financial Administrator
Gayle Fidler has been our Office Administrator since the summer of 2008. Shortly after that time, she also assumed the job of Financial Administrator.  Gayle is married with three children. The annual return of the Swainson's Hawks that are seen around our church each summer is a joy to Gayle, even when the hawks are peering in the windows to see what we are all about.

Gayle manages our office, handles our financials, coordinates our office volunteers, and sings in our church choir.
