"There's no place like home"
Rally Day August 2011
If you are looking for a church home, we would like you to consider St. Paul Presbyterian Church. If you wish to visit, we value your presence.
Each year we have a Rally Day to kick off our regular worship schedule and move off of our summer schedule. This year's theme was 'There's no place like home', borrowing a quote from L. Frank Baum's 1900 fantasy
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Near the end of its 1939 adaptation, Dorothy repeats that phrase to return home to Kansas. Some of you may think further back to
John Howard Payne's 1823
opera Clari, Maid of Milan, with the opening lines:
- Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
- Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home
