Greetings, Beloved!
Welcome to the website of St. Paul Presbyterian Church in
Aurora, Colorado! Look around the site and discover
something about who we are and what we do. The website has
information such as worship times, education programs and
times, fellowship groups and their meeting times, and a
brief history of the church. We also have many pictures
showing our life together. If you haven’t been to St. Paul
Church, then of course you don’t know anyone in the
pictures. But you can see some of our life together. You
can see the delight on our faces as we are church
together.
After you’ve checked out the website, I invite you to come
and visit us. We’re on E. Hampden Ave. in Aurora, just one
block east of the intersection with Tower Rd. The church
is located on the north side of Hampden Ave. It’s a red
brick building that sits on a hill. Join us for education
hour at 9:00 and worship at 10:15 each Sunday morning.
You’ll find our education classes stimulating, our worship
services welcoming of all and a good mix of traditional
and modern. You’ll find the congregation friendly and
hospitable. You’ll be warmly welcomed at St. Paul Church.
There’s a place for you here. Come and see!
I’d love
to meet you and visit. If you’d like that, call me at the
church at 303.693.3434 or my mobile number of
303.667.1262. I’d like to help you find your place in a
church, and I’d like to introduce you to St. Paul Church
as a possibility.

A Word from Pastor Randy
Pulpit and the Pen
February, 2009
-------------------------------
During Lent, I will be preaching a series of sermons based
on David Goetz’s book Death By Suburb: How to Keep the
Suburbs from Killing Your Soul. Each chapter of the
book examines a particular characteristic of suburban
living and how it damages our faith, spirit, and soul. It
then offers a spiritual practice to address that suburban
characteristic.
Also during Lent, we have Mid-Week Gatherings on Wednesday
evenings. We begin with a simple meal, provided by our
Deacons, from 6:00-6:45 p.m. Then we share in a time of
study, discussion, and worship from 6:45-7:30 p.m. The
resource for our study and discussion will be Marcus
Borg’s and John Dominic Crossan’s (of The Jesus Seminar
and authors of the Living the Questions programs)
book The Last Week: What the Gospels Really Teach About
Jesus’ Final Days in Jerusalem. Come enjoy the
preparatory season of Lent with us!
Joy!
Pastor Randy
